Hidden among the Sibylline Mountain peaks , it is the Europe’s largest karst plateau, where 150 clever farmers grow lentils. Once in a year and just for few days, you can see a singular natural event called “the Flowering”: simultaneous blooming of different floral species that create a colourful “rug” covering the whole of the valley.
